Hot Ginger Coffee for a cold, wet winter!



We have all heard of Ginger tea as in herbal tea or Masala chai made with ginger. However Ginger coffee is something that is popular in South India in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The recipe below not only includes ginger as one of the spices but a few more spices like cumin, black pepper and cinnamon that help with digestion and relieve the congestion during these cold, wet winter months. Ayurveda encourages adding spices to foods and beverages to help with increasing your metabolism especially when it is sluggish in cold weather.
